Since the Treorchy Male Choir was reformed in 1946 more than eight hundred men have been members of the organisation. Initially it was difficult to keep a comprehensive register of choristers as the Choir grew to over 150 by 1949, only to be rapidly reduced to a more manageable 110 a few years later.

To ascertain who the members were during this time, the Choir Archives have lists of choristers as they appeared on previous editions of Excelsior, early Committee Minute Books, photographs, rooming lists for overnight stays and in some concert programmes.

The period 1946 to 1962 does not have a surviving Register of choristers, therefore other sources have been depended upon and may not necessarily be accurate.

Find attached four comprehensive databases of the four sections of the Choir, explaining the names of those choristers who sang in that section, the years in which they were members and whether they held any official posts.

If you can supply the Choir with any additional information or alterations to this list, then contact the Webmaster and we will rectify it immediately.
