The Scores

Treorchy Male Choir's competitive career spanned almost two decades as they established themselves as Wales's premier male voice choir. Through the dedicated efforts of its members and the visionary leadership of its conductor the Choir scaled the peaks of musical distinction with an unequalled succession of victories. The Choir's record in the competitive arena, established during a time when they triumphed over so many fellow choral giants, has stood the test of time.

From 1948 to 1967 the Choir claimed eight first prizes out of eleven entries at the National Eisteddfod (establishing a record for consecutive victories); nine first prizes out of eleven entries at the Semi National Eisteddfod and five first prizes out of five entries at the Miners' Eisteddfod.
